The great wooden horse

A gift to the city by the Capodilista family, the horse was built in 1466 by Agostino Rinaldi.
This great hall once was home to many local Magistrates and also housed the "stone of shame" which was probably placed there by St Anthony and was used to punish insolvent debtors.
Apparently if you went down the drain financially in business you were brought to the stone of shame in only your underpants and you had to sit on the stone three times uttering the words " Cedo bonus" ( I renounce my worldly goods). The offending party was the banished from the city.
