Venice (Italian: Venezia) is a city in northeast Italy sited on a group of 118 small islands. It's not hard to see why they call this one of the most romantic city's in the world, everywhere you turn it looks like an oil painting.
The first difference I notice on arriving in Venice is the attention to detail in the most subtle ways.
Everywhere I have travelled I start to feel the pulse, the nuances and uniqueness specific to each region and what appeals to me so far is a feeling of lightness. Of course it's impossible not to use a big brush when making statements because to compare any place against another would be unfair and biased on multiple levels, however what I've felt so far fits my personality just fine.
