Ok so another day on the Camino and today it was time to move on to new connections and experiences. It has been great walking with Alfonso and Fabiana off and on these last three days and there have been wonderful interplays with several other great people in and around our group. Serendipitous experiences are part and parcel of this seemingly mundane and at times monotonous journey and without the prompting of sentimentality I can state that there have been exchanges shared on a daily basis that give reason on their own to make this journey. The terrain is changing again now and after averaging between 3 - 3.5km an hour due to constant steep rocky hills with slippery decents we are seeing more open spaces and undulation which moves us to 5 - 6km an hour. Today from Estella I travelled 29km to Torres Del Rio, leaving at 6.30am and arriving at 1.30pm. This leaves me a short 21km tomorrow to reach the wonderful city of Logrono by about midday and gives me daylight until 8.00pm to experience the city and scope out the best Pinchos for diner. Torres Del Rio is known for its Templaroctagonal Romanesque church, formally related to those of Segovia (la Veracruz).
